In todays release of OPEX we've introduced a way to provide notes to a vendor when they're reviewing a contract, added the "Sign All" for POA signatories, and a few other minor improvements, including: When issuing a contract for signature, notes can be added that are shown only to the vendor when they review the contract All fields on the "Vendors" screen can now be edited, even on released projects When signing under Power of Attorney, you can now use the "Sign All" feature (if turned on) Vendor users are no longer needed as "Authorised Signatories" to issue a contract IF a project is configured to always be signed under POA The email sent when a contract is exchanged is now sent to Purchaser Purchaser's Solicitor The user who issued the contract; and All users set to receive notifications to confirm deposit (in project settings) Vendor Contract Notes When sending a contract for signing you can optionally add a message for the Vendor. When the Vendor opens the contract to view, and sign it - the message is shown as a popup, including any formatting you added (bullet points etc).
- Version 1.1.1.2 📚
In todays release of OPEX we've introduced a new way to work with "Additional Improvements" (or "Optional Inclusions" - depending on your preferred terminology). Here's a summary of the changes: Enhanced Additional Improvements You can now add multiple improvement lists (eg: "Outdoor Improvements", "Indoor Improvements") The different improvement lists are their own merge fields, allowing you to add the lists to different parts of a contract (eg: "Outdoor Improvements" might be on one page, with the "Indoor Improvements" on another) Prices can be added to Additional Improvements, which can then be automatically calculated and added to the purchase price of a contract New merge fields have been added to support the automatic calculation, including Improvements Total Cost Improvements Deposit Total Purchase Price (including improvements) Total Deposit (including improvements) Balance Deposit (including improvements) Purchase Price less Deposit (including improvements) Other Changes Agent users can now skip sending to a Purchaser Solicitor The "Deposit" now has a drop-down to select the % value The "Purchaser Solicitor" details are no longer mandatory (unless your contract has a Purchaser Solicitor signature panel) A progress bar has been added for background processing when uploading "Contract Elements" Additional Improvement Lists When creating a new project you can add as many lists as you like to a project (or just one, if you wish). Each item in a list can optionally have a price added to it. Don't want a price? Just leave it as "0.00" and it wont be included in any calculations. 💡 Be sure to name your improvement lists to make them easy to find in your merge fields when creating your contract templates. Creating a Contract of Sale When creating a new contract for a project with multiple lists, or with prices, they'll show above the "Purchase Details" in the Contract Details form. As you select improvements the prices will calculate and show in a summary below. Prices can be changed Notes can be made against items Using our new merge fields, you can create a detailed breakdown of all the costs involved... or if you prefer, just show the "Total Price" including the improvements. It's up to you. 😎

Clicking on a unit number, or purchasers name navigates you to the related contract. Oh, and it can exported to Excel. 😉 Bounce Notifications Bounces happen, but if you don't know about them they're VERY frustrating. Now when a bounce occurs, not only will you see it in the contract status panel but the person who created the contract will receive an email from OPEX (pictured below) with details about the bounced email, including which project and contract the bounce relates to. 📧 Email Status In this release we introduced detailed email tracking of all contract related emails, this allows you to not only know when an email has bounced, but also when it has been delivered, opened and even when someone has clicked on a link in the email! Yes, you are "Big Brother". 🕵️ Sales Progress Bar How many lots are exchanged? How many are under contract? How do I get to the Sales Schedule? ...are questions you'll never hear again with the introduction of our "sales progress bar". Quickly see the sales status of all your projects, hover to see the statistics or click on a bar to see the sales information in a clear, easy to read format - and to navigate to the Sales Schedule super fast. 😎 Sales Schedule Search Now that your users can quickly get to the Sale Schedule, they'll want to easily locate that contract they're looking for. No problem! Use the new search field to find a contract by lot, unit or buyers name. Automatic Price Population Have you populated the "Asking Price" in the Lots screen for your projects yet? If you know the asking prices, now is the time! When selecting a lot during the creation of a contract of sale the "Price" is automatically populated from the Lot screen - saving you, or your agents from having to look for the price. Every little bit helps! 🤓 Project Settings OPEX has got to be the most configurable e-conveyancing system in the world by now, and the "Project Settings" screen is a reflection of that. So we took the time to clean it up a little an split it in three: Auto Process Options; and Branding So now it's nice and easy to find what you're looking for. 🙈

Once you send your contract for signing its progress is tracked via the new "Status" panel, this panel is visible for law firm, developer and agent users - so everyone will always know where a contract is in its journey. Confirm Deposit Confirm receipt of deposit directly from the contracts list, this can also be seen (but not updated) by developer and agent users keeping everyone in the loop. This enhancement has allowed us to improve the "Sales & Deposits" widget, which now shows the deposits received, and what is still "Pending". - Version 1.0.1.1 🚀
It feels like only last week that we did an update to OPEX... ah, it was! Now that we've got people uploading files of all sorts of shapes and sizes we realised we could improve their experience by adding an upload "progress bar" - this is especially handy for large files which can take a few minutes to upload. So we did! 😆 Upload Progress Bar When uploading PDF's for "Paper Contracts" or "Contract Elements", a progress bar will give you accurate feedback on the uploads progress. Other Improvements We also made a bunch of other small improvements as part of this release. Including: Don't generate the ID PDF when the "ID Verification" is disabled Added the "Unit Number" to the "Sales Schedule" export Projects can now have the hash ("#") character in their name Validation improvements Agent user tweaks User creation tweaks
- Version 1.0.1.3 🥳
In todays update we squeeze in some big planned features, some polishing of existing features and a number of things that YOU suggested - because that's how we roll. 😎 Here's a summary of what's included in this release: Stop using "sales advice" documents! Agents can now create a contract of sale, and submit it to you for review. When reviewing or signing a contract, purchasers and their solicitors can now download a PDF copy of the contract. (there are settings for this, see below) A new option has been added to skip sending the contract to the purchaser solicitor. (there are some rules on this one, see below) Where there are multiple contracts against one lot, and one of those contracts is exchanged - the other contracts are now automatically rejected. Special conditions can now be edited, or removed from a contract that is in a draft state. The "Power of Attorney" string is now automatically added to the signature panel when you're signing under a POA. Digital Sales Advice Stop "double handling" contract data by allowing your agents to create contracts 😲 (stay with me here). Once they have added all their buyer and contract details they'll submit the contract to YOU for review. Once you review it (and fix any typeos) you can send the contract to the purchaser. Download Contract as a PDF Does the buyers solicitor want to download the contract as a PDF? No problem, tick the box in Project Settings to allow the contract to be downloaded as a PDF by the buyer, and/or the buyers solicitor. Skip the Purchaser Solicitor Need to send the contract directly to the purchaser, 🫣 bypassing their solicitor all together? Now you can, so long as there are no signature panels in the contract for the purchaser solicitor. (eg: If there is an s66w in your contract, then this option will not be available) Power of Attorney String When you're signing under POA, the "Power of Attorney" string on the Vendors/Sellers screen will automatically populate on the top of your signature panel.
- Version 1.0.1.2 🚀
Not all updates need to be HUGE with mind-blowing features, we'd prefer to deliver improvements to you as quickly as we can - even if that means lots of point releases - like this one. Our little 1.0.1.2 release adds the following features: Return a contract to a "Draft" state after it has been issued (so long as no one has signed it of course); and Delete contracts that are in a "Draft" state While not super exciting, these small changes will allow you to make adjustments to your contracts if the buyers lawyer requests them... and to delete any "Oops!" contracts you might create.
- Version 1.0.1.5 🤩
Sometimes things don't go to plan. You may discover something is wrong with a contract after a purchaser has signed it, maybe there is a spelling mistake in their name, or perhaps the address provided on the sales advice wasn't correct. It happens. So what do you do? Sure, you can issue a new contract - but who has time for that. Instead we've introduced a change that allows you to return a contract to a draft status even if someone has signed it. Yes, even if it has a signature on it. Hear us out... You'll now see a "Return to Draft" button for all contracts, in any state except "Draft" and "Exchanged". When returning a contract to draft with signatures on it, you'll be warned that returning the contract to draft will remove all signatures and reset the contract back to its original state - this allows you to make your changes without having to re-enter all the data, and just shoot it back to the purchaser. Who then just re-signed and submits the contract. This change saves you time, and maintains the integrity of the signing process. It's a win-win. 😄
